Dangerous Sub Groups

A major sub group considered dangerous in the past was the Mormon church. They threatened the very fabric of Christian life and endangered peoples souls. Their founder Joseph Smith founded the religion as a purely American religion going so far as to say that the Garden of Eden was originally in Jackson Missouri. Joseph Smith was killed by an angry mob, but not after founding two cities and inspiring people to form a third in Utah, where polygamy was practiced until the turn of the century, when it was finally ended by the federal government through the threat of military intervention.
